Roles and permissions
AttendBeacon keeps running the organisation separate from helping on the day. Each role opens specific tools, in a specific place, for a specific time.
Your team
Workspace roles apply to every event in the workspace and last until someone changes or removes them.

Giving someone a role
You never share passwords. People sign in with their own account and get exactly the role you give them.
Go to Administration → Members, enter an email address and choose Admin, Contributor or Viewer.
Open the event, go to the Crew tab and choose Invite crew. Pick the role and add shifts.
Open the exhibitor and add staff by email. The sponsor level sets the allowance.
Speakers join through the call for papers and attendees with their ticket. No invitation needed.
Start with Viewer or a crew role and raise it only when needed. You can change or remove a role at any time.
Crew access stops when the shift and grace period are over, so nobody keeps scanning rights after the day. Workspace roles stay until an admin changes them.
Every section of the workspace has built-in help, and the roles guide explains each role right where you assign it.
